Required Skills

Required skills for all Bakery and Warehouse Crew Members include:

Manual Dexterity

  • Ability to work standing, up to 8 hours minimum and 12 hours maximum.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 to 60 pounds routinely.* depending on position
  • Ability to follow written and oral directions in English.
  • The required skills identified above are not all-inclusive. A detailed job description will be furnished during the interview process. A tour of the work area for which you are interviewing will be included with your final interview.

Sanitation Operator

Meet Aly, who works at Legendary Baking in the Sanitation department. The main accountabilities of this position include :

  • Disassemble bakery equipment prior to cleaning and sanitizing. Reassemble equipment according to manufacturer procedures following the cleaning/sanitizing process.
  • Operate power equipment (power scrubber, sprayers and pallet jacks).
  • Work safety with cleaning and sanitizing chemicals and follow all good manufacturing sanitation principles.

Lead Operator

Meet Awil who works as a Lead Operator on one of our pie lines.  Accountabilities in a Lead position include :

  • Open the work area, maintain continual work flow throughout the work day, supervision of the main function of the assigned team and supervision of final clean up.
  • Train crew in proper procedures and techniques for their area/line.
  • Compile all required paperwork for their designated area, ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately and timely, including but not limited to HACCP, Production Orders and Weight Sheets.

Warehouse Forklift Operator

Meet Larry, who works in the warehouse at Legendary Baking. Our warehouse receives, ships and stores over 1,600 pallets per week. The main accountabilities of those working in the warehouse are to :

  • Receive, inspect, date scan and store ingredients and finished products.
  • Locate and pull orders from freezer storage, provide supplies to production floor as needed and stage finished product for transport to our customers.
  • Monitor and follow all food safety procedures.
  • Inspect warehouse equipment for safety before use. Follow all established safety and security procedures at Legendary Baking.

Quality Assurance

Meet Paul who works as a Quality Assurance (QA) Technician at Legendary Baking . Our bakeries are certified in Safe Quality Food (SQF). QA Technician accountabilities include :

  • Verify food quality and safety through auditing and reporting.
  • Evaluate products for flavor, texture, appearance, and compliance with specifications.
  • Conduct periodic sanitation audits, GMP inspections, and IDEXX testing of cleaned and sanitized equipment.
  • Collect, analyze and report data. Maintain quality assurance and HACCP data as directed. Clearly document and communicate all findings.

Packaging Area

Meet Hien, she works in the Packaging area at Legendary Baking. This is where we ensure desserts are ready for the journey to our customers Accountabilities in this area include :

  • Visually inspect desserts, ensuring they are consistent with established written specifications before packaging.
  • Operation of shrink tunnels, packaging equipment and palletizing.
  • Manually package pies into shippers.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times.
  • Follow established Good Manufacturing Practices and food processing regulations.

Maintenance Mechanic

Meet John, who works in the Maintenance area at Legendary Baking. We fondly call our maintenance shop the "magic shop" because our team is great at inventing creative solutions. Accountabilities of Maintenance are to:

  • Trouble shoot, maintain and repair all production equipment and machinery.
  • Perform electrical, welding, mechanical, plumbing, and pneumatic tasks.
  • Perform building repairs that keep walls, ceilings and floors in good repair.

Production Operator

Meet Maria, who works in Legendary Baking production / line area. The main accountabilities for this position include :

  • Assemble shells and fruit pies on semiautomatic pie line, which can run between 20 to 60 pies per minute. Line presses, forms and cuts pie dough and deposits fruits fillings.
  • Ensure desserts are consistent with established written specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times.
  • Follow established good manufacturing practices and food processing regulations to ensure the proper preparation of ingredients and food products used in the bakery.

Office Support Area

Meet Laurie, who works in the Office at Legendary Baking. She specializes in purchasing and shows a real passion to serve our customers. Legendary Baking uses the SAP business operating system, which is used for both supply chain management and manufacturing operations, tracking product through the organization. Office positions at Legendary Baking include :

  • Accounts payable
  • Payroll
  • Purchasing
  • Sales Orders
  • Freight
  • Production planning

Batching and Mixing

Meet Dan, who works in the Batching and Mixing area at Legendary Baking. Batching where our legendary dessert fillings begin. A few of the main accountabilities in this position include :

  • Operate Kettles and Mixers that produce hot and cold fillings and toppings.
  • Weigh and portion ingredients to specifications.
  • Ensure desserts are consistent with established written specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times.
  • Follow established Good Manufacturing Practices and food processing regulations.

Oven Operator

Meet Miriam, who leads the Oven area at Legendary Baking where our legendary desserts are baked to perfection. The main accountabilities in the oven position are to:

  • Bake pies, cakes, shells, and brownies. Toast pecans, coconut and other garnishes following documented procedures.
  • Ensure desserts are consistent with established written specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times.
  • Follow established Good Manufacturing Practices and food processing regulations.

Production - Cream & Garnish

Meet Vanassia, who works in the Cream and Garnish area at Legendary Baking. The main accountabilities in this position are to:

  • Prepare, fill, cream and decorate desserts.
  • Cut candies, spin graham, and shave chocolate for desserts.
  • Ensure desserts are consistent with established written specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times.
  • Follow established Good Manufacturing Practices and food processing regulations.
